Happy New Year!
Thank you so much for reading along with me these past few months! It’s been a lot of work and a whole lot of fun, and I’m so excited for what’s in store for next year!
What a year! There was some bad and some sad, but there were also some big glittery moments. First of all, I started this blog! I finally went for it and jumped in!
I went back to work in the spring after my maternity leave, and this summer we celebrated baby Andrew turning 1! (How did that already happen?!?!)
We went on some awesome trips (Texas, Paris, the UK, Austria), ate some delicious food, and spent time with amazing people that we’re lucky to have in our lives. Feeling ultra #blessed over here.
Work on my wellness and make sure I get enough sleep. I’m really good at being a high-functioning tired person (when else can you get things done when you have a baby?!), but I know I’m more productive and healthier when I go to bed at a “normal” time.
Focus on my fitness. I have a few specific fitness goals for the next 2 years, and I want to build up my base level this year.
Save more. We worked really hard last year on sticking to budgets, and this year will be even more of the same and better.
Travel. Martin and I made a deal to visit at least 1 new place each year. But who says that has to be a limit!
Be a good person. It’s more important now than ever to set a good example for my son. Paying it forward never goes out of style.
MY 2017 WORD OF THE YEAR: FOCUS.
Recently I had a lot of projects running through my head. I tried to juggle more than I could handle, kept adding to my to do list but didn’t actually check off many things, then felt extremely chaotic and stressed and actually got sick.
This year I’m going to focus on my goals, focus on accomplishing what I set out to do, focus on my son, focus on myself…
